I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients realize how their thoughts and feelings are connected to their actions. I am also trained in Art Therapy, which can help access feelings and experiences better than talk therapy at times. I am also a firm believer in the power of the therapy relationship. A combination of support and challenge can help cultivate trust, confidence and assertiveness. My clients have confirmed that their new knowledge and confidence is then carried over into their daily lives.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row type=”container” padding_top=”” padding_bottom=””][vc_column][vc_column_text]I most enjoy working with adolescents, adults and families. I help people resolve a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress, oppositional defiance, and stage of life transition issues as well as help individuals manage their ADHD and dyslexia. I assist in problem solving with the challenges stress can bring. I also have a great deal of experience working with families who have a loved one that is addicted to drugs and\/or alcohol. If the things I have mentioned are happening for you, you know what a challenging situation this is. Most are at a loss to know what to do. If this is the case, I hope you will feel comfortable to come in and discuss what is going on so we can make a plan together. I have seen time and time again, that clients and their families can learn strategies that will help everyone in the family resolve these difficult problems to get the most out of life.<\/p>\n
